Hello, Friend!

I just love the color purple, especially when it it’s paired with white! This Concord Crush Designer Series Paper was added to Whisper White Card Stock to make a simple, but pretty card for the Challenge over at 365 Cards. They have a different challenge every day, so if you ever get in a funk and are at a loss for ideas, that is the place to go.

The flower was punched out using the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch. This is an awesome punch that will cut out 3 different shapes! I added a Designer Printed Brad and some Hemp Twine to the flower and tied it on the white satin bow. I backed it with a piece of designer paper which had been cut out with the Decorative Label Punch. Easy-Peasy!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day. Terry

E is for Everything

I’m home from Maine now and I managed to bring back a cold with me, so I haven’t been doing too much. I did manage to make a couple of cards for some challenges. This card was made for the CPS-Card Challenge #241.

I used my favorite Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up! again-Spice Cake! I used 3 of the designs out of the pack. This time I used Pool Party and Chocolate Chip Card Stock along with it.

I stamped one of the images from the Four Frames Stamp Set in Chocolate Chip Ink on the Pool Party CS and punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch.

The sentiment on the tag is from the Occasions Alphabet Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up! The set contains 26 stamps, one for each letter of the alphabet and a sentiment to go with it. It’s a very handy set!

I added a piece of Victoria Vintage Trim and 3 Basic Pearls to the card front. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day. Terry

Life is a Matter of Moments

This card is one of my all-time favorites!

When I first looked at the colors in the Fall Color Challenge over at Our Creative Corner, I thought, “Ugh, those colors won’t look good together.”  But, once I started putting papers together, I knew it was going to work!

I’ve been busy making cards with the other colors of DSP in the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper from the Holiday Mini Catalog, but hadn’t used this Old Olive Print until now.  (Every print in this package of DSP is gorgeous and I will be using every scrap of it!)

The card base is made with Cajun Craze Card Stock.  I took  slightly smaller pieces of Crumb Cake CS and the DSP, punched the corners with Ticket Corner Punch and adhered them together.  Then I added a brad to each corner of the panel and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The smaller layer was done the same way, but  I added a piece of Victoria Crochet Trim to the front of it before adhering it to the card.  I stamped the flower from the Creative Elements Stamp Set 3 times with Chocolate Chip Ink onto Cajun Craze CS. Then I cut 2 of the images smaller so I would have a 3-layer flower.  I went over the edges of each petal with my Chocolate Chip Marker to make them stand out more and then added a few highlights with a Signo Gel Pen.  The 3 pieces were adhered together and to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the label with the dots from the Four Frames Stamp Set using the rock-n-roll method in Old Olive and Cajun Craze Inks, and cut it out with the Decorative Label Punch.  The sentiment was stamped in the middle of the label and then I sponged a tiny bit of the inks in the middle of it.  It is matted with a piece of Cajun Craze.  I just love the way it looks!  Hope you do, too.

All products are from Stampin’ Up! and can be purchased from my online store 24/7 by clicking on the “Order Stampin’ Up! Online” button in the right-hand column.

Here is one of the cards I made out of a Class in a Bag I was sent from Stampin’ Up! Everything to make this card and more was included, except a stamp set. So I used the flowers from the hostess set, Simply Sent. (You can only get this awesome stamp set by being a hostess at you own Stampin’ Up! Demonstration!)

Check out this ribbon! It’s theWild Wasabi 1-1/4″  Striped Grosgrain Ribbon from Stampin’ Up! (125059).  You can get a 10 yard roll for only $9.95,  or join one of my ribbon shares if you don’t need that much and want more colors!  (Keep scrolling down to see the ribbon shares.)

I Just Can’t Get Enough!

I just can’t get enough of the Gently Falling Stamp Set out of the newHoliday Mini Catalog! One of the great things about this set is that the leaves can be stamped in greens or in fall colors.

I made this card for the Splitcoast Stampers Wednesday Sketch Challenge.

The card is made out of More Mustard Card Stock. It was layered with a slightly smaller piece of Crumb Cake CS that was first embossed with theVintage Wallpaper Folder. I stamped and embossed the leaf with Gold Embossing Powder on More Mustard CS, then cut them out. They were each adhered (with Dimensionals) to 3 seperate rectangles of Chocolate Chip CS, which had all been stamped in VersaMark with theEn Francais Background Stamp. The 3 panels were then equally spaced and adhered to the panel of Crumb Cake CS. A piece of Hemp Twinewas knotted on both ends and adhered to the bottom of the card withCrystal Effects, which will hold just about anything. The sentiment is from the Creative Elements Set and was stamped in Chocolate Chip Ink on Crumb Cake. It was layered with Chocolate Chip and More Mustard CS and adhered (with Dimensionals) to the bottom of the card over the twine. I love it! Hope you all do, too.

I Love Spice Cake!

Yes, I love the new Spice Cake Designer Series Paper out of the Holiday Mini!! In my last post, I talked about how you always get a few pieces of paper you don’t really like when you buy packs or pads of paper. Well, let me tell you that this pack of paper from Stampin’ Up! is awesome! There is not a single sheet that I don’t like. I will be using every scrap of this paper! Here is a card I made using some of it, along with the newGently Falling Stamp Set which is also out of the Holiday Mini. It’s a set of 12 images that can be used together to create beautiful leaves.  I stamped this leaf with one of the outline stamps on More Mustard CS and then I used an altered “thumping” method on it!  Instead of thumping with my Stampin’ Write Markers on the stamp, I thumped them on my card stock BEFORE I cut out the image.  Then I went over the “veins” on the image with my Chocolate Chip Marker to make them stand out more.  I love the way it turned out!

Speaking of the Holiday Mini Catalog…Have you seen it? I will be getting everything in it! It’s the best mini from Stampin’ Up! yet. They have really outdone themselves this time. Did you see the new stocking Die and the stocking punch? I’ll definitely be using them for my Christmas cards and decorations. Did you see that beautiful medallion wreath? I can’t wait to make one for Fall with the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper. Just click on the button in the right-hand column to see it now.

Made in Maine

Happy Labor Day, Everyone!
Here is one of the cards I’ve made since arriving in Maine. I shipped three big boxes of my Stampin’ Up! stamp sets, card stock, paper, punches, my Big Shot (of course) and other supplies up here from Florida. That’s not including what I’ve purchased since I got here. I’m going to have even more toys to ship back home! I will be having a couple of classes before I leave here to go and this is one of the cards we’ll be making.

Don’t you just love the Elements of Style stamp set? It’s one of my favorites!
The flowers were stamped in Cherry Cobbler onto Whisper White Card Stock. The Whisper White panel was then run through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. I wrapped ribbon around the middle of the panel, added a bow, adhered it to a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock, then adhered that to a white card. The sentiment is from the Three Little Words stamp set. It was stamped and cut out with the Scallop Oval punch. I also cut another small piece of Cherry Cobbler with the Decorative Label punch, adhered those two pieces together, and then adhered them to the card front with Dimensionals.
The picture didn’t come out very good and doesn’t really do the card justice. It’s beautiful! I am going to be making several sets of this card using different colors and sentiments. Then I will make a box for each set so I can give them away as gifts. So, So easy!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day. Terry

This card was made with the retired Stampin’ Up! Set, “Always”. I love this set and hate that it has been retired! I guess I’ll just have to buy more stamp sets from the new catalog!! There’s so many great sets to choose from this year.

I had seen a card similar to this one somewhere and made a quick sketch in my notebook so I could make it one day. Well, I finally got around to it a few weeks ago. I stamped the bird in Early Espresso ink and cut it out. The heart in the Whisper White background was stamped in Pink Pirouette. All the pink designer paper was adhered to Early Espresso Card Stock and then adhered to a Crumb Cake card.

I just think it’s beautiful.
