Hello, Friend!

Standard

I just love the color purple, especially when it it’s paired with white! This Concord Crush Designer Series Paper was added to Whisper White Card Stock to make a simple, but pretty card for the Challenge over at 365 Cards. They have a different challenge every day, so if you ever get in a funk and are at a loss for ideas, that is the place to go.

The flower was punched out using the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch. This is an awesome punch that will cut out 3 different shapes! I added a Designer Printed Brad and some Hemp Twine to the flower and tied it on the white satin bow. I backed it with a piece of designer paper which had been cut out with the Decorative Label Punch. Easy-Peasy!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day. Terry

Here is one of the cards I made out of a Class in a Bag I was sent from Stampin’ Up! Everything to make this card and more was included, except a stamp set. So I used the flowers from the hostess set, Simply Sent. (You can only get this awesome stamp set by being a hostess at you own Stampin’ Up! Demonstration!)

Check out this ribbon! It’s theWild Wasabi 1-1/4″  Striped Grosgrain Ribbon from Stampin’ Up! (125059).  You can get a 10 yard roll for only $9.95,  or join one of my ribbon shares if you don’t need that much and want more colors!  (Keep scrolling down to see the ribbon shares.)

The Open Sea

Standard

I finally had an opportunity to use some of the stamps from The Open Sea Stamp Set (123030) out of the Summer Mini Catalog. I can see I’m going to be using this set a lot! There are so many possibilities with it.
The background of the card was done using the Fuax Silk Technique and a piece of paper from the Nautical Expedition Designer Series Paper (122343), also from the Summer Mini. The ship was stamped and embossed in Night of Navy ink and the background of it was done in watercolors. After it dried, I stamped the Woodgrain Background Stamp (117100) over it using Crumb Cake. I dried it with my heat tool and covered it with a very thin layer of Crystal Effects.
The compass, which was done the same way, is another stamp from this set. I added a game spinner that I had leftover from the Occasions Mini, and some Hemp Twine (100982) to the card.

Please leave me a comment…I love reading them! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day. Terry
